Completing a dialogue

Have you encountered that you feel frustrated because you find yourself sometimes unable to express clearly and yet when you hear native speakers, you feel that it is so simple and easy? Now, let us focus on learning everyday expressions to help us deal with daily conversational situations.

What is a dialogue?
  • A dialogue is a conversation between two or more persons.
  • A dialogue is when more than one person is taking part in a discussion where questions and answers are used most of the time.
  • A dialogue can also be held to exchange views and ideas between different parties.

A dialogue starts with a greeting.
The next thing is, sharing of your thoughts, ideas and experiences in life and usually ends with the polite expressions of "Thank you", "Goodbye".

 Let's have a sample dialogue.

Example of a dialogue is meeting with a friend.

Mark: Hello Jessa, how are you?
Jessa: Hi Mark, I'm okay thanks for asking. What keeps you busy now?
Mark: Well, I'm working now in an oil company as a Supervisor.
Jessa: Wow, good to hear that from you Mark.
Mark: How about you Jessa, what's your work now?
Jessa: I'm working in a call center now, it's quite tired but I'm enjoying.
Mark: Oh, really? That’s good Jessa I’m happy for you.
Jessa: Thank’s Mark. I have to go now, thank you for your time.
Mark: Thank you too Jessa, take care.
