Singular and Plural

Singular  and  plural

Let’s review on nouns:
What is a noun?

         •A noun is a name of person, places, animals and things. 

Example: dog
Is dog a noun? 
What kind of noun is a dog? 
•It is an animal 
How many dog do you see? 
There is only one dog.
So a dog is a singular noun.

Singular means only one.
More examples...
Carrot

Computer

Now, how many balloons do you see?

*There are 3 balloons.
* Is 3 more than one?
*This means that the noun balloons is plural. 



  Plural means many or more than one.

Eggs 
Flowers
